Have you ever left a comment on a blog and wondered if a reputable site was backlinking to your domain? The other day, I was commenting as usual and the writer wrote back and asked if I would be backlinking to that site. My answer was I “dunno”. Most bloggers don’t see the backlinks. How can the commenter create the best backlinks to the website?

Comment luv is the only tool that I know of that promises you a backlink to your site unless the domain owner is a “no follow.” It’s hard enough to get comments on a post. If it were publicized that a company is a nofollow, it would probably reduce the comments.

Build Backlinks Naturally by Commenting
Well, being confident that links are being built by comment luv, diversify the source of the links. This is extra protection in the event of more Google changes. It would take too much time to check every backlink attached to the domain, but it would only take minutes to find a suspect link.
Check Backlinks Occassionally
Use the site, ahrefs.com to check those backlinks for free. The company, ahref, gives you some linking tools and some other interface tools for a monthly fee. Larger blogs already know about these tools. Smaller blogs need not to worry about these tools at this time. This is some of the information that the site gives.

Now, some of the links seem all right, but I’m watching the ones that have 20-30 links to my domain in two weeks. That seems unusual, but maybe it’s normal.
From time to time, check the backlinks on your domain. It’s not a daily or weekly check. Just be aware that some links reduce your positive standing with Google.

Research the domains connecting to your site over and over again.
Don’t become paranoid about it. Just be aware.
